Wood Slices

To try a new project this year, I decided to create wood slices. Not only has this been a really fun project, but the final results have been better than I expected!

With a few trees in the backyard that had dying limbs that needed trimmed, I grabbed the chainsaw and began to cut away at the most intact limbs. From there, I printed out my photographs using a laserjet printer and transferred them to the slices of wood using a mirror, glue, and sealing process.

The result was unique, one of a kind pieces of art made using a medium from nature.
